Thank you for stating this out loud. It needs to be said. We should have shut down all immigration after 9/11 to any and all countries that Islam is promoted and praised. We need to export all of its "followers" and shut it down in the United States. It is NOT an American value, anymore than communism or socialism.
The most idiotic PM (a close second to the last one) in canada said "Muslim values are canadian values." Which ones? Women have no rights other than those granted by their fathers or husbands? A woman raped should be stoned for having had sex outside of her marriage? Children are the property of their fathers? If your female family member disgraces you...you may kill her without consequence? And always a cdn favorite (I guess according to the PM), kill the infidels.
Difficult to add to such an excellent editorial, but there may be even another historical angle to the muslim attacks---why they attacked on September 11, when the same flights went out every day.
September 11 was the day in 1697 muslims still mourn their defeat at the closest they came to advancing into Europe, at the battle of Zenta in present day Hungary. The muslims have a dangerously long memory for their aggression being countered.
But, I did “visit” New York in July 2002. Almost one year after 9/11. I was at work at the time when this atrocity/mass murder took place. One could not stop watching it no matter how horrific it was.
When I visited New York in July 2002, I went strait to Lower Manhattan, Ground Zero. Cement divider walls with chainlink fencing surrounded the burial ground where two towers fell with thousand(s) of innocent victims fell/jumped into and around. Women. Men. Children. Age unlimited. Too many. But unfortunately, the filth that caused this were a part of that sacred ground. (It should have been sifted for the filth that caused this, separated and thrown into the sewer with all the weewee and pooh…a fitting burial for pieces of crap).
I looked at this crater in the earth. Still pieces of metal and concrete sticking laying there. Men with their big moving and digging machines, moving and digging. NYPD and NYFD heroes had tables set up asking for donations for families. I talked with one for a few minutes. He told me that remains (bones?) were still being found on the roofs of surrounding buildings. How sad is that?
New York…some of you have forgotten. Some of you are new to New York and it’s pffft! Wake up! Don’t let Mr Sandman erase it from your mind.
To all of those who lost a loved one or friend or coworker in this horrible mass murder, I’m sorry. I offer my big Texas heart to give you a big Texas hug. To those who worked tirelessly to find everyone, alive or gone, thank you! To those who suffered from and passed years later, from the effects of the poison in the air at that time, rest easy. To the search and rescue dogs…thank you and I hope you got a big treat after. To those search and rescue dogs who have passed …run free and healthy across the rainbow bridge, and thank you.

The same mentality of tolerant submission and fear of being labeled as extreme right racist, spreads here in BE too, like an epidemic. We are urged not to show any sign of islamophobia. Or even use any sensitive word concerning the religion of peace.
The Flemish are cowards. Beer drinking, football watching cowards. Whatever portion of the population that had brains or guts left Flanders ceturies ago with the Flight of the Intelligentia. The poor and the weak stayed behind. And these days, most of these Flemish descendants don’t give two hoots about anything as long as it does not affect them personally.
I have tried to warn my son and his 3 almost adult children about the islamic threat and the disastrous future that is ahead, but they just won’t listen. They watch the mainstream media and grandma is a conspiracy theorist. About everything.
So be it.
But I will not shut up. And as you, I have always refused to write islam, mooslim and satan without capitals. Just to show my disgust.

I agree and like the straight-forward talk. Interestingly, I also refuse to capitalize islam or muslim. My real awareness of islam began in 1979 when I found myself deployed to the Gulf of Oman because of the American hostages in Iran. (Yes, I’m old).
9/11 came after 9/10. Few people know what the connection is. Our world changed far more than the dropping of three buildings, the damaging of a fourth and the murder of thousands of innocent Americans which so many of us viscerally remember. Our enemy is internal as well as external and we've done a piss-poor job of defending against either.
