I agree that these classes are created and likely taught by idiots. That said, I seriously doubt that any of these are required for a student’s major. Most likely they satisfy an elective and anyone taking them is looking for three units they can earn by just showing up occasionally.

You need to get the government out of education!

Need to get propaganda out of education …

This is only going to get worse as a result of Obama's ESSA - Every Student Succeeds Act -High School teachers are now crying because they are forced to graduate high school seniors who can't read. The lowest grade teachers are allowed to give is the lowest passing grade. We are no longer educating kids were just shoving them through the system as fast as we can. DEI will demand these kids are accepted into universities. Remember when test scores mattered for college entrance exams? Hell many of these kids can't even read those exams. There was an episode of "Married With Children" years ago where Kelly had just graduated and had her diploma. She was all excited - handed her Diploma to Al and said "Read it to me Daddy....what does it say?"

An A for anyone who parrots the proper ideological “answers”. These classes are the only ones the DEI dimwit students are capable of passing.

Maybe parents should check out what their money is really paying for...I guess it's easier just to put your children out of the way...you know "out of sight, out of mind"...

That’s cute… in the subtitle of your article attacking education, you wrote “it’s” instead of “its”.

Marj Dickson 's avatar

It is correctly typed, possessive belongs to academia...

Ross Blocher's avatar

That's exactly why you would use "its". It is not a contraction of "it is". https://www.merriam-webster.com/grammar/when-to-use-its-vs-its

The dog wagged it's tail...

Ross Blocher's avatar

No. That's wrong. The dog wagged its tail. Or the dog's tail wagged. Please, oh please, just read the dictionary link I sent you and learn something!

Marj Dickson 's avatar

Correct, it is not a contraction, it is possessive...

Ross Blocher's avatar

Sigh. Please read the link I included. There is no apostrophe in "its" as a possessive. You are confused. Please just admit you were wrong and move on.

You have to have a certain number of elective courses in order to earn a bachelor degree. They all cost the same but the student decides whether to choose one that may truly enrich his education, or one that he can sleep through and still get a “B”.

The root of the problem is when females take over control of the institution as standard female psychology and behavior is driven by uncontrolled emotional reactions and impulses. To understand the destructive force of women in power, one has to walk the path of outcomes for a string of progressive decisions that are highly influenced by emotional triggers rather than rational and calculated considerations. The education system worked better when the leadership was more often male, and the administrative and faculty employee population was more often male. This kept the problematic drift of female crazy in check as males evolutionary psychology from their roles as providers and protectors on the front-lines has resulted in stronger emotional regulation capability and thus more pragmatic decision-making capability.

The fix to this mess is to stop the lie of females being under-represented in institutional power over academia, and reverse course to hire and promote more men to run the schools and teach the students.
