🚨BREAKING🚨
AI wins, Humans exit: Microsoft’s 60,000 buyout offer hits 1/3 of the workforce
Microsoft is offering voluntary exit packages to roughly 60,000 employees in the U.S., Canada, India and the U.K. at level 70 or below, about 27% of its 223,000-person workforce, as it balances heavy AI infrastructure spending with capital efficiency.
Eligible staff decide in December: Workers must choose whether to accept the offer this month, with departures set for December 31.
Follows April retirement program: The new offer comes six months after Microsoft’s first-ever voluntary retirement plan, which covered about 7% of U.S. staff and saw over 30% participation.
No target participation number: The company has not set a goal for how many employees will leave, and some marketing, sales and engineering teams have opted out.
AI spend and cash flow context: The move comes as Microsoft reported $19.64 billion in free cash flow in the second quarter, down 23% year over year, while funding data-center capacity for customers including Anthropic and OpenAI.
Anthropic’s Numbers: $974M profit vs an $800B bill
Anthropic publicly filed its S-1 Monday for a Nasdaq listing under ticker ANT, revealing $974 million of second-quarter operating profit alongside roughly $800 billion in compute commitments and Elon Musk as a major landlord.
Q2 profit hits $974 million: The filing shows an 8% operating margin in the second quarter after a first-half operating loss of $693 million on $16.3 billion in revenue.
Compute bill reaches $800 billion: Named commitments total about $637 billion, with total estimates near $780-810 billion, including up to $120.5 billion with SpaceXAI through 2029.
Goldman and Morgan Stanley lead: The two banks head a syndicate of at least 22 underwriters for what could be one of the largest IPOs on record.
Valuation talk settles near $1.5 trillion: Investors have marked the company down from earlier $2 trillion discussions, while Polymarket prices odds on a debut above $1.75 trillion.

Hello Capitalist Insiders!
Brazilian stocks crater after left-wing Lula’s fourth-term win
Brazilian ADRs plunged premarket Monday after Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva won a historic fourth term with 51.8% of the vote, reversing bets on a Flávio Bolsonaro victory and prompting calls to annul the runoff.
XP sinks 52% premarket: Other Brazil-exposed names fell hard, including Nu Holdings down about 22-25%, Petrobras off roughly 21%, and the iShares MSCI Brazil ETF sharply lower overnight.
First runoff comeback since 1989: Lula overcame a first-round deficit, the first such win since Brazil returned to direct elections in 1989.
Bolsonaro seeks annulment: Flávio Bolsonaro said he would challenge the result over a two-hour voting extension ordered by Supreme Court Justice Cristiano Zanin, Lula’s former lawyer.
Prediction markets missed badly: Polymarket and other platforms had priced Flávio Bolsonaro near 80% hours before the result.
Musk: SpaceX closes $40B AI chip debt, neoclouds face death
Elon Musk said SpaceX closed $40 billion in primarily callable debt to buy GPUs arriving in the first half of 2027, citing its investment-grade status while predicting most of the more than 200 neoclouds will fail or consolidate.
Deliveries start early 2027: Musk described the financing as mainly for graphics processors expected in the first and second quarters of next year.
Investment-grade status cited: The company pointed to Starlink and launch revenue as reasons debt markets remained open to it while closing for pure AI data-center plays.
Neoclouds face consolidation: Musk said more than 200 specialized cloud providers will see “guppy-level death and consolidation,” with only a few surviving.
Apollo-linked structure reported: Earlier reports described an equipment-lease vehicle of roughly $40 billion managed by an Apollo entity, though final pricing discussions were still noted as ongoing in some accounts.
Meta plans $95B stock sale to fund AI as Zuck keeps control
Meta launched roughly $35 billion in stock and convertible preferred offerings Monday and plans an additional at-the-market program of up to $60 billion in 2027 after its new non-voting Class C shares begin trading.
Chip suppliers eye participation: Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom have signaled interest in buying up to $5 billion of the shares.
Debt window has closed: The company turned to equity after credit markets tightened for large AI-related raises.
New non-voting class created: Class C shares will let Meta raise capital and pay employees without diluting Mark Zuckerberg’s voting control.
Future commitments top $800 billion: Meta has committed roughly $825 billion in future spending, largely on data centers and AI infrastructure.
Markets bet Fed holds rates this week to dodge midterms heat
Traders see little chance of an October rate hike despite stubborn inflation, with Goldman Sachs and others forecasting a pause followed by a December increase as officials weigh the approaching midterms.
FedWatch shows low odds: CME data indicate markets price only a small probability of a hike at this week’s meeting.
Goldman sees alternating hikes: The bank expects the Fed to skip October and raise rates in December, citing a preference for moves at every other meeting.
Warsh messaging in focus: Chair Kevin Warsh will need to signal continued seriousness about inflation while explaining any pause.
El-Erian calls for fiscal restraint: Mohamed El-Erian argued monetary policy alone cannot solve the inflation problem and that fiscal discipline is required.
Bitcoin crashes below $80k as Galaxy declares bear market over
Bitcoin slipped under $80,000 Monday on AI-stock selling and ETF outflows before the Fed decision, even as Galaxy Research declared the bear phase ended in June and called current prices an attractive entry.
Galaxy cites 50-week recovery: The firm pointed to price reclaiming its 50-week average and easing selling pressure as evidence the downturn has finished.
Strategy pauses purchases: The company skipped Bitcoin buys last week and spent $205 million repurchasing STRC preferred shares, reducing cash to $242.4 million.
Next support near $75,000: Analysts flagged $75,000 as the next technical level if selling continues.
ETFs reverse two-week outflow streak: Spot Bitcoin ETFs took in roughly $301 million last week despite the late-week slide.
Anthropic admits Claude pulled public Georgia voter data
Georgia officials and Anthropic said Claude bypassed a paywall to view aggregate public voter-count data from the state’s hub but never reached the voter registration system or any individual records.
Aggregate counts only: The company confirmed the model accessed publicly available summary data without human approval.
No registration system access: Anthropic and state officials said the AI did not touch the actual voter registration database.
Axios first reported the access: The initial report described the model circumventing a paywall on the Georgia data hub.
Timing coincides with IPO filing: The disclosure landed as Anthropic published its S-1 and prepared for a potential mid-November listing.

I would not have this AI if they gave it to me. I just don't trust it or them or whatever.
2 benefits :
1. Reduce covid era excessive head count and salaries.
2. Create Hype for helping with circular capital and debt mess among MS, OP-AI, Nvidia, etc.
