The CIA rewarded Spanberger for mastering the art of deception, we should expect her to deceive

Virginia should never have elected a CIA spook as Governor. Before Abigail Spanberger (D, Langley) governor, before she was a phony moderate representing Virginia’s 12th Congressional District in Washington, DC, she was a career CIA operative. Over nearly two decades of international deployments, she held several different passports and assumed several different identities. Extrapolated, this means Abby was also Betty and Judy and Mary and possibly Shaniqua and Charles. She was a tourist. A banker. Maybe a baker. A professor on European sabbatical. She was whatever she needed to be for the mission.
Every asset, i.e. human being, Spanberger the undercover agent was acquired through falsehoods. Every friendly “let’s grab a drink” was premised on subterfuge. Every relationship based on deception. No one knew who the real Spanberger was as that is part of being a successful CIA agent.
Of course, this life of deception was (likely) for a good reason. The world is a dangerous place and don’t doubt I would recoil knowing the many dark and dirty things my government has had to do to protect me, to keep bad guys at bay, to prevent the enemy for getting its hands on yellow cake uranium or bioweapons. I don’t criticize Spanberger for her career and concede it is a necessary albeit unfortunate side of geopolitics.
But the better Spanberger was at espionage the more one should innately distrust her ability to be honest.
Much has been said about what war does to the warfighter. Think of the many movies depicting the soldier returned from battle with a severe darkness that has seeped into his soul. The military trains men to be killers, and their training, coupled with battle scars, does not vanish when they return home.
Hence the analogy: if the U.S. Government trained and rewarded Spanberger for mastering the art of deception, we should expect her to deceive.That is what she does now, except not to our enemies and for our good, but to us and for hers.
After the 2020 election, congressional democrats participated in an on-the-record interview with CNN’s Jake Sherman and Manu Raju. When it was her chance to chime in, then Congressman Spanberger asked to be off-the-record so she could tear into her fellow democrats in a profanity-laced tirade. Spanberger called their elections a failure blaming the “defund the police” rhetoric and increased use of Marxist language for preventing greater wins. “We lost members that shouldn’t have lost” saying “we need to never use the word socialist or socialism ever again.”
The interesting part of Spanberger’s remarks is that she does not blast the democrats for BEING socialist or espousing socialism. She does not warn against the dangers of defunding the police as a policy position. No. She warns against saying it.
Said plainly: Spanberger yelled at her fellow democrats for being honest and warned/advised them to improve their rhetorical deception. She does not ask them to espouse the values of Americans who rejected their messages in the election. She does not ask them to reconsider their aggressive lurch to the left on critical national issues. From that honest speech, perhaps the first honest things Abby has every said, she is angry, not that they believe it, but that they say it.
That is why in her first month as Governor, Spanberger’s remake of Virginia politics is not surprising albeit the policy prescriptions are shocking.
Once, she blasted gerrymandering, calling it “detrimental to our democracy”, but now, comfortably enshrined with power, she signed a bill to redistrict Virginia in a way which flips 4 districts to democrats. What changed? Nothing. Deception is a tactic.
On her campaign website Abby professes a desire to work with anyone who will abolish Virginia’s universally hated “car tax”, but now, comfortably enshrined with power, she let democrat legislators kill a bill which would study ending it. What changed? Nothing. Deception is a tactic.
Spanberger’s entire campaign was on “affordability” and yet the first six weeks of her Administration have seen proposals for more than 50 tax increases, gun bans, green nonsense like gas powered leaf blower bans, abortion on demand, every transgender thing imaginable… and when pushed by Virginians (and the nation as it this insanity was making national news) Abby reverted to her training, and deceived. “We’re focused on delivering real relief for Virginians” she posted on social media, saying more than half her affordability issues had passed the legislature. Nothing says affordable like more taxes.
“Remember Jerry: it’s not a lie if you believe it,” George Costanza famously told Jerry Seinfeld. George should have run for office. At least he was funny. Spanberger now resembles pure evil. Want proof? An illegal alien in Loudoun County, Virginia strangled his 8-year old sister with an extension cord to death. Spanberger refuses to turn him over to federal ICE agents.
To find the truth in a CIA spook, do not look for what they say in public but do in private. Spanberger’s 2020 conference call was honest, and that is why the media so dutifully concealed it. On that call, she said “He [Trump] is not going to go away after this election”. No, Abby, he was not. He did not. He’s back, and bigger than ever.
Say what you want about Donald Trump, and there is certainly a lot to say, but there is no deception in his agenda. Not on tariffs, not on the border or immigration, not on “drill baby drill”, or blowing up drug boats and cartel members into itty bitty pieces of shark food. Every single thing Trump is doing he said very clearly he was going to do. You can hate him for it and hold marches against it, but there is zero surprise factor. Zero.
Spanberger and most democrats, all democrats really, have to lie about their policy agenda. No American would have voted for Biden if they knew it meant 10% inflation and 20million South American criminals getting free phones, so Biden lied. No Virginian would have voted for Spanberger if they knew it meant freeing fratricidal illegals or mandatory J6 education in schools. So, she lied. Naturally. Comfortably. Professionally.
Of course she did. It’s what she did for a living, and we are all the worse for it. Just wait until someone makes her their 2028 running mate: the blonde alpha female… she’ll say even more things which aren’t so, just as the CIA has taught her.
I conclude with this: I am not suicidal, and I don’t have a chronic illness. You think I’m joking, but I know who my governor is, and I know what the CIA does. I have no idea what (or who) Spanberger has done for the mission, but I do know that a human casualty preventing operational success is something CIA spooks like Spanberger do not lose sleep over.
And if Bristol Farm were suddenly to experience a gas explosion (which would be odd considering I have no gas hook-up), it would be very easy for the CIA freak governor to lie about it. Getting her to tell the truth is the hard part.
