President Donald Trump pledged Tuesday the United States will guarantee safe passage of oil from the Middle East amid ongoing war with Iran that has killed hundreds and roiled global markets, announcing insurance guarantees and potential US Navy escorts through the Strait of Hormuz to prevent an energy crisis.
