The Keystone pipeline was intended solely to help a Canadian energy company move its product to the Gulf Coast and then to its overseas customers. There was no benefit for prices at US pumps. The information was and is available on line by reading the company's SEC filings.
Conservative farmers & ranchers in Nebraska didn't want Keystone because the inevitable leaks would get into the ground water that they need to grow crops as well as forage for livestock.

OK. I really don’t think that the situation for Iran is as Dyer as you may believe. I only say this because they do have a way through Saudi Arabia, which the Saudi’s are allowing Arabian oil to be transported. The only thing is that it is more costly to go through there, but I ran is charging a premium to any consumers that are still using their oil due to the more costly route that they have to take. That’s what I have seen, but I do understand that you may believe otherwise

the problem is that US can stay forever in a blockade state. Iran is over the strait of Hormuz, they can use it whenever they need. A blockade can’t last more than few weeks/month. Mine t’s a geographic argument. US’s blockade is temporary, Iran proximity to Hormuz is forever. It’s a time problem: can US submit a treaty before the end of blockade? I don’t know. But what is sure is that even after a possible treaty Hormuz will stay in Iran hands
