That is probably true, but to me, the one's with the CoExist bumper stickers are the most intolerant people in the world.

No Virginians only vote to create a one party Marxists regime just like Spam burger was told to do by big money Marxist advocates —- yeah and in the same vein watching revolting maggot Hakeem speak about the need to unite after calling Trump a Nazi on tv to motivate deranged idiots to kill him is not another issue of mouth farts by Drmoc rats 🐀 fascists

I kept reading, genuinely waiting for you to explain why the current gerrymandering wave is happening in the first place. You know, the part that requires actual intellectual honesty. You also somehow forgot to mention that reform efforts have existed and that MAGA has systematically killed them. Convenient omission, or just sloppy work?

The name "The Capitalist" is a nice touch, though. Nothing says credibility like branding yourself to attract market-minded readers and then delivering political spin dressed up in business casual. Bait-and-switch with a newsletter subscription.

And the Trump-worship ad at the end? Chef's kiss. Really tied the whole propaganda gift basket together.

This Substack isn't built to inform. It's engineered to flatter people who've already made up their minds and are willing to pay for the echo. The writing knows its audience: credulous, incurious, and hungry for validation. Trump would be proud. That's not a compliment.

AI offers a synopsis of the whole thing that may or may not be slop. So I asked why the current gerrymandering wave is happening (your question to investigate). Here's what AI says about the current wave, though a little research shows that Virginia has just been one redistricting mess after another for decades.

Countering National GOP Gains: Virginia Democrats explicitly framed the redrawing of maps as a "necessary response" to steps taken by Donald Trump and Republican-led states (such as Texas, North Carolina, and Ohio) to redraw their own districts mid-decade to add GOP seats.

The "Tit-for-Tat" Strategy: Because Republican efforts in other states created a projected net gain for the GOP, Democrats in states like California and Virginia pursued similar "mid-decade" redistricting to "even out" the playing field.

Securing 2026 House Control: The new Virginia map, approved by the General Assembly in February 2026 and passed by voters in April 2026, is designed to turn a 6-5 Democratic-leaning delegation into a 10-1 Democratic advantage, significantly boosting the chances of Democrats taking control of the U.S. House. (WOW that's a huge advantage by anyone's measure!!! And I am from MA, so that's saying something)

Leveraging Local Power: While Virginia had previously moved to an independent commission for redistricting, this new effort used a legislative amendment to bypass that commission, allowing the Democratic-controlled legislature to temporarily redraw the lines, argueing that doing nothing was a "unilateral disarmament" in the national gerrymandering war.

I dont think it was your fellow Virginians. I think it was the last hour mail in ballots from who knows who and where that brought it home

Hi Daniel,

I reached out to your friend George and it turns out, he knows a great deal about farming in general and sheep farming in particular. He went to prep school in New England and one of his classmates lived on a farm. They don't grow anything and the barn has been empty for years but they still qualify for a tax write off. He never actually visited the farm, but his friend explained the details of non-farming so he feels he is well informed. From there he went to Yale (he got in because his father, grandfather and great grandfather all went there) and majored in Gender Studies. From there he went to Yale, (father, grandfather, etc.) got his masters in Public Policy and was all set up for work in a non-profit NGO. However, before he could land that job, he needed a government gig for a few years so he set out for Washington. He was only there a day or so before the Agriculture Department called and offered him a job. One of the administers went to school with his father. When I asked him how Gender Studies and Public Policy have to do with farming he dismissed me and said he learned all about farming from his high school friend and from a farming seminar he attended that was hosted by the famous farmer, Michael Bloomberg. Bloomberg explained that all you need to know about farming is you put a seed in the ground, cover it with dirt and wait for it to grow. George now explains this method to all the farms he visits. Since he only visits the farms once he wasn't able to tell me whether or not this simple system works, and anyway that is not a metric that the Agriculture Department measures. When I asked him specifically about sheep farming he said the same principle applies. You put the sheep in the ground cover it with dirt, and when it grows you simply cut off the wool using a pair of scissors you buy in the kitchen section of Whole Foods. When I asked about raising sheep for food purposes he nearly dropped the phone. He then claimed that no one he knows would ever eat sheep since they aren't vegan.

I left a voicemail for Dick. I will let you know what he says once he calls me back.

Remember the day you drove into the city and noticed there were no longer any bumper stickers whatsoever? The Marxists had silenced our voices with a simple threat, " You'll get your car keyed if you don't take it off." How cheaply and how easily the First Amendment was sold.

The towns folk that vote against a free life do so because they already live under control and psychology tells us that to avoid seeing their "prison" they need to bring everyone in behind bars so all are equal or equally abused. I'm not sure either political party will save anyone, they both take money from dark sources. In the words of that putz obama, paraphrased "don't get mad, get engaged", there is no other option.
