Bill Gates has changed his tune on climate change.

Not even five years after the publication of his book How to Avoid a Climate Disaster, Gates now declares there is no coming disaster.

Hmmmm…

Many people see this flip flop as something positive, a “come to Jesus” moment on one of the leading international causes. “Bill Gates is on our side now!”. I was not as enthusiastic. Allow me to explain.

First, nothing has changed in the repository of climate data. There is no new evidence. No new study provided a revelatory insight which made Bill Gates say “well, would you look at that!” Had that been the case, I’d say kudos to you, Bill. We adapt our positions as they become better informed by new information.

But on climate, “the science is settled”, right? We have heard that for years if not decades. And those of us in this space, who have looked at the same science, but reached different conclusions were the enemy.

We are called “deniers”. We were deplatformed by social media companies. Chuck Todd, when he was still the host of NBC’s “Meet the Press” declared us not welcome on his show. We were accused of misinformation, disinformation, and just a year ago John Kerry, Joe Biden’s special envoy for climate change, stated the 1^st Amendment was a “major block” in his agenda.

This is quite a reversal for Gates. The same ice core samples and university studies and research papers, the same body of evidence which taken as an undeniable and absolute truth caused little Greta to cut class and old hippies to throw soup on priceless art… all of this remains the same.

What changed is the opportunity.

Look at the date of Gates’ climate book: 2021. Biden, the newly inaugurated President, had an Administration full of climate lunatics like aforementioned John Kerry and Gina McCarthy (she implemented the hundreds of changes to appliances, light bulbs, toilets…) all of them vowing to spend unimagineable fortune of tax dollars to combat climate change.

At the 2024 Presidential debate Kamala Harris bragged “over the last four years, we have invested a trillion dollars in a clean energy economy” as if Keynesian-style spending were an accomplishment. “Vote for me! I make printing press go whirr….!”

A trillion dollars is a lot of money. Someone got their mitts on it, and likely those decrying climate crisis and preparing to avoid a “disaster” were the recipients.

Tens of billions of our dollars were “invested” on wind and solar farms, on electric vehicles rebates, on electric buses, high speed rail, and climate “justice” whatever the hell that means. On CBS’ “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan laughed at former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg when he said $7.5 billion had been spent to build “seven or eight” charging stations. Think about that… Secretary Carl Sagan struggled to quantify “seven or eight”, as if those numbers are ethereal and incalculable. The $7.5 billion was more certain, however. It was gone.

That is why Bill Gates wrote his book. Washington, DC was making it rain climate change dollars like Russian hookers at Hunter Biden birthday party.

Fast forward to today. Money machine go stop. Sad face emoji… but something new has emerged… and with no new climate science or data, the “why” of Gates’ pivot is all about energy.

Energy is now a top priority. Cutting red tape to build coal, natural gas, nuclear plants, or permitting reform to expediate pipelines, mining and extraction is administrative paperwork. That is not what Gates cares about… it’s what the energy is for: AI.

Gates wants the artificial intelligence. He wants the data centers because that is the new power, and a power unlike anything we have seen or can even imagine.

Climate is about power: power not just to control your thermostat, but your movement, your family decisions, your diet. Under the guise of “avoiding the climate disaster” people like Bill Gates want to force you into 15-minute cities and regulate your use of air travel or miles you drive.

So much bigger than the climate power, the COVID power, the vaccine power, the GMO power… Gas stoves and EV’s are crumbs compared to the untapped power of AI.

AI is the power the remake the human genome, to write and rewrite history in real time, to monitor every person on every device in every country on the planet and make decisions about what they see, read, hear, what they are allowed to click on, what they are allowed to access, purchase… the power to feed billions in nanoseconds with “your” truth.

AI is the power to change reality as you are experiencing it so that, for example, the video your kids are watching can morph in real time to feed them what people like Gates believe they should see, to make them global citizens, to encourage them to get booster, to eat the bugs, with no permission from you, no oversight from the Federal Communications Commission, not even the kids’ awareness it is happening.

I am just barely scratching the surface of what AI’s potential power will be, and Bill Gates wants it. He wants it more than any billions or any company or any $650 million yacht.

And AI needs energy. My org put out a study showing how we need to produce three times as much electricity as we currently do in the next decade.

The biggest impediment to increasing electricity production is the very climate movement Bill Gates has supported for decades, so the climate change activism, the book, the entire agenda is discarded like an underage sex slave trapped on a Caribbean island.

That is why Bill Gates has changed positions, and it is not a victory. It is not even a Trojan Horse or a Benedict Arnold. It is something far, far worse.

Hence my angry Twitter video and my deeply held suspicion.

I know these people. For decades they watched their climate alarmism bankrupt small towns across America, plunging coal miners into poverty, driving up divorce, depression, alcoholism, domestic violence, and suicide, and they were unmoved. Climate activism fired hundreds of thousands of fossil fuel workers, caused economic chaos and geopolitical instability, and they were unmoved. From their private jets, people like Bill Gates would say “learn to code” at the blue-collar workers whose very livelihood they destroyed.

I started my organization precisely because of the climate activism funded by people like Bill Gates.

I know these people. I fear them. I loathe them.

Bill Gates wants power more than anything: power over you, your freedom, your property, your rights, your agency, and he will do anything to get it. AI is the greatest opportunity to make it happen, and he will do whatever it takes to control it. We are all underage sex slaves trapped on a Caribbean island.

This is why I fight the climate movement and welcome this new fight against the looming AI master, gathering his forces in Mordor, building the armies, forging weapons, preparing for war. AI is that ring to rule them all, and the climate movement was standing in his way.

So let us fight, with every breath we have, let us fight those who wish to rule us. Honor and courage.
